Advancing your career while serving others is a privilege. The MVFD members get to enjoy many privileges. Not all volunteer organizations are create equally. All are very noble in their pursuits, but few specialize in advancing the careers of their members. So many (not all), want to eventually get paid for their service. As a result of their training and education they deserve that. We encourage our members to do things that are in their best interest.

We at the MVFD seek to make sure our members personal goals are met. It’s not a boast, we have members who have served at every rank in the Fire Service in prominent fire departments in the region. They teach and pass on their knowledge to every member of our organization. The members with the expertise, show us how one can get the best of both worlds (public service, private interests). We have flexible staffing arrangements that incorporate the 24 hour a month service time requirement. Those who want to earn the privilege to manage the organization at the highest levels put in more time.
