30 years ago today, Volunteer Firefighter Kenneth Hedrick died in the Line of Duty after heroically saving a child from a house fire at 3807 Walls Lane, Suitland, MD.  Kenny, as he was and continues to be known by his family & friends, will always be remembered for his sacrifice.  His parents, Les and Cathy Hedrick continue to be active members of our department.  We appreciate their commitment to sharing Kenny’s story, which provides comfort to the families of fallen firefighters all over the country through the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF).

Kenny, thank you for your service.  We will never forget your sacrifice.
