True Sacrifice Occurring Before Our Eyes

Acts of Sacrifice Abound Despite the Coronavirus Outbreak

Throughout this uncertain time, because people are doing everyday jobs, they are the ones that are vital to society. When threats to the whole of the Country occur simultaneously, we see every worker’s worth. We are so dependent upon one another, we must respect each other as we come out of this crisis. While the focus on healthcare workers is high the community needs to pay attention to the needs of those workers.

Because You Care

During these times the members of the Morningside Volunteer Fire Department need to leave enduring words of comfort to those they serve, especially with the elderly. As we become more isolated due to social distancing, those in the most need will be those who are vulnerable to the practice of isolation. The elderly struggle to remain relevant to society. The added burden of being a high risk during social interactions hurts in several ways. As a high risk patient family members stay away to avoid being a mode of transmission.

Be a Caring Partner

During this period, the EMS partner most effectively shows concern by ensuring prophylaxis measures are taken for the safety of all concerned. The Fire/EMS Service members shine during the past deadly outbreaks of disease periods. MVFD members past and present are commended for their dedication to service. During (2004 SARS, 2008 Avian Flu, 2010 Swine Flu, 2012 MERS, 2014 Ebola) highly contagious disease events high quality care is the standard. I am sure members remain dedicated because they take care of each other. The MVFD members are technically sound and insist on universal precautions.

Your Sacrifice Does not Go Unnoticed

The MVFD is a highly performing organization and a leader in providing services. Take this time to educate the community and community leaders. Let them know what is needed to ensure those services are available from the MFVD. To those who think about joining the MVFD, please do not hesitate to join. Become a part of an effective unit for good in our society. Come Join Us!
