Member of the Month: FF/EMT Aric Tegtmeier

The Morningside Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank and congratulate FF/EMT Aric Tegtmeier on being our member of the month for January 2020.

Aric joined Morningside in May of 2015, and has been an invaluable asset to our department ever since. While living at the firehouse for over a year and a half, Aric served as a live-in line officer, back step fireman, and quality EMS provider with pride and integrity. Aric has always put the men and women around him before himself. Upon his appointment to the FDNY, Aric returned home to follow his dream … but never forgot about Morningside along the way. He returns as often as possible to share knowledge, teach newer members about our pride and tradition, and most importantly, serve the citizens in the community we surround.

Today, Aric was turned over as Morningside’s newest Rescue Squad Wagon Driver. Aric, thank you for adding value and depth to our department and continuing our tradition of excellence. We appreciate the amount of heart you have put into our success, and into the community we continue to serve on a daily basis.

Morningside is a place like no other. Our mission to serve and our drive to succeed is unparalleled. If all of this resonates with you, please reach out and inquire about joining our family.
